Sam Partovi joins as Chief Commercial Officer to Advance our Mission of Empowering Scientists Through AI-Powered Protein Design

I'm very pleased to announce that Sam Partovi has joined Cradle as our new Chief Commercial Officer. Sam brings over two decades of experience in scaling cloud-based platforms for the life sciences industry building go-to-market teams at Medidata, Benchling and Veeva.

Sam's appointment comes at an important time for Cradle. Since our launch in 2022, we've seen rapid growth and significant interest in our AI-powered protein design platform. Our technology has helped our customers achieve 1.5x to 12x acceleration in development time for therapeutics, diagnostics, chemical, food and agricultural proteins.With Sam on board, we will expand our reach and impact, furthering our mission to empower scientists in building a sustainable, healthy future through programmable biology.

What stands out about Sam is his deep understanding of how technology can facilitate scientific progress. His career has been focused on advancing innovation in life sciences, starting with a 14-year tenure at Medidata, where he contributed to the company's rapid growth and successful IPO in 2009.

Following Medidata, Sam spent four and a half years at Benchling, the leading cloud lab informatics platform for large molecule R&D. As head of global sales, he built and grew key go-to-market functions, driving significant growth in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), scaling revenue from less than $5 million to approximately $150 million. Under his leadership, Benchling expanded its customer base to over 1,000 companies, including more than 20 of the top 50 global biopharma companies and hundreds of emerging, growth, and enterprise biotechnology firms.

Most recently, Sam led sales for the MedTech business at Veeva Systems, a global leader in cloud software for the life sciences industry with $2.3 billion in revenues. His team there focused on serving the world's leading medical, diagnostic, imaging, and laboratory instrument companies.

Sam recognizes that we're at a pivotal point in time, where advancements in biology and machine learning are coming together to create new opportunities.
